RIP, Blinq

The Philadelphia Inquirer has pulled the plug on Blinq, the blog about blogs that Dan Rubin has written for going on two years and millions of hits. It makes no sense to me -- that blog was one of the few online things the Inquirer was really getting right. Dan certainly created relationships not only with his readers but with Philly bloggers. Many of us, from Duncan Black to lil' old me, were helped in untold ways by the generosity Dan showed with links, coverage and advice.

I wish I could be more poetic and articulate, but . . . I'm actually at a loss. WTF, Blinqman?

That stinks! With all the blog-like moves the Inquirer's print edition seems to be making, it is hard to believe that the actual blog goes.

Jaw-dropping. ... The idiocy and short-sightedness that *some* folks at the Inquirer are displaying is heartbreaking to those of us who still love it. It's going to be a case study someday in college journalism classes.
